tested Emerson Newton-John at Peach State Speedway at the
end of 2003. The entire team was very impressed with both
his speed and ability to listen to what was needed of him.
Personally, I was most impressed with how quickly he came
up to speed, taking into account that he had very little time
in a stock car and on an oval. With his unique marketability
and great people skills, I can see Emerson becoming a NASCAR
star with the correct support. I would very much like to work
with him in the future."

1997, I taught at the Mid-West Skip Barber 2.0 liter racing
series, where a new driver named Emerson Newton-John appeared.
From the onset, I was very impressed with both his speed and
ability to learn new tracks so quickly. He won his first ever
race with Skip Barber and beat many of what are now America's
well-known rising stars, including Jon Fogarty and Alex Gurney.
"He challenged for wins on every weekend and his race craft
was exceptional. He never lacked bravery and his strong desire
to succeed was very apparent. With a family of such over achievers,
I am sure that Emerson will want to live up to his family's
success. I am quite convinced he will!"

"Emerson
first drove for me at an ARCA race at Atlanta Motor Speedway
in 2001. After only briefly driving a stock car before and never
seeing a super-speedway, his ability to get up to speed was
incredible. We missed most of the practice session and were
running an old car on a small budget. Despite all of these tremendous
handicaps, Newton-John amazingly made the race and shocked us
all. At the start, he moved up from his 35th place qualifying
spot to 12th in just 35 laps! Unfortunately, he then had a brush
with the wall, bending the suspension significantly. He showed
us his "never give up" attitude though, as he continued
to drive the car and scored a strong 17th place finish. Emerson
clearly has the ability to drive any type of racing car and
unquestionably could succeed in the world of high-level NASCAR
racing."

Newton-John drove for Hocking Motorsport on several occasions.
He was always very competitive and demonstrated regularly his
natural ability to drive an open wheel racecar. Despite limited
testing for our team, Emerson managed to battle for race wins.

"Emerson
Newton-John drove for my team in one event in the 2001 HADC
at Calder Park. Our cars are European F3000 chassis powered
by a Holden V6 engine. He finished 3rd in both races. He had
not driven the car before first practice on Friday that was
wet, and did a good job to qualify in 4th position (18 starters).
He drove very well and was accepted by my crew immediately,
my commitment to another driver the only thing preventing him
from any more races with us."

Formula Holden and took part in the testing and development
